Definately a 5 Star plus. Food was really good, including the portion size. My husband said he was suprised by the food quality and how its plated... He said we would have paid a lot more for what we ordered elsewhere. Staff is super friendly. It was worth the almost 4 hour drive 1 way to come here. Definately reccommend this place to eat and support a cause. We were more then happy to pay for our meals and pay it forward as well.

I've been wanting to go to the JBJ Soul Kitchen for awhile and just had the opportunity last weekend. I was pleasantly surprised of how well this place is running. Servers (volunteers) are so friendly and nice to talk to. Food was amazing and overall I had an amazing experience. I will make sure to come back.

This was not just a wonderful meal; it was a powerful heartwarming experience. The food was amazing but from the moment we arrived, we were treated with such love, and that is what witnessed as they served each individual dining. You must try this restaurant. ONE NOTE: check the days and times carefully before arriving.

Great restaurant doing a great thing for people. Food was even better than we expected. People working there are saints. I love that they provided extra resources for the needy too. Can't recommend it enough. Sit outside. They'll pop you in the garden 🏡.

The volunteer waitress was cordial, which we appreciated. But if we talk about the food during a slow lunch, we were disappointed. With high reviews, we were hoping to get better grubs. Not to sound ungrateful, but the salad was too plain, our little guy didn't like the dried tater, and the chips were leathery bitter burned taste. It's a good thing they served pieces of fruits for our little guy who was so hungry driving all the way up to New Jersey. We liked the garden, the store across the street and hoping to get a glimpse of John, but it was asking too much. We were just glad to have partaken with the facility that John & Dorothea established to help their community. So, we paid our bills for 3 and donated another $50 then took off.

10/10 experience ! Came here for my mothers birthday and everything was phenomenal. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, our server, Mo, was such a delight. Highly recommend trying out JBJ Soul Kitchen for a great time along with helping a great cause.

We read so many great reviews about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The staff and atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. The food was delicious, We had the salmon with garlic spinach sauce and the butternut squash soup. This will definitely be one of our favorite spots to eat healthy food. The best thing about this restaurant is that it serves the community with delicious and healthy food no one is turned away because of lack of money but encouraged to volunteer their time. When you eat here you are also contributing to their positive cause of “feeding all” regardless their economic background. We encourage all to visit, you will not regret it.

Can’t say enough about the staff. They are so friendly and make you feel like a part of the family. They even had a water bowl for our dogs. The food was amazing and everything was so fresh.
